Egypt will invest 110 billion dollars by 2027 in the production and distribution of electricity with solar electricity figurehead. To do this, Egypt will build on the FATF, the main government authority responsible for facilitating investment and assist international investors in Egypt. Via its structure “One-Stop Shop” which offers investors a single entry point to gain a foothold in Egypt, the FATF is developing services to take advantage of all opportunities in the Egyptian market and its most profitable.

At the same time, the country has thus be given a grant of 100 million dollars from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) * for the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 100MW in Kom Ombo, north Aswan. A total cost of about $ 500 million financed by the World Bank and the African Development Bank, the central sun meets the objective of the Egyptian government is to produce 20% of its energy from ‘ renewables in 2020.

Egypt is one of the leading African country in terms of developing clean energy. She is currently developing a solar farm project in partnership with the group Desertec, an output of 150MW and have nearly 2000 sensors. Investments of Egypt in the field of energy designed to support its demand for electricity driven by sustained global economic growth (+4.7% growth in 2009 and +5.8% in Q1 2010).

It should be noted that the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and Global Environment Facility (GEF) is an independent financial organization established in 1991. Bringing together 182 governments, international institutions, NGOs and private partners, the GEF is one of the largest sources of funding for environmental projects worldwide. He participated from countries with economies in transition to finance projects on biodiversity, climate change, international waters, land degradation, the ozone layer and persistent organic pollutants.

Solar lights are a great way to accent lighting in your garden and road. They are easy to install, require no wiring and as a bonus, virtually maintenance free. Solar lights with a small photovoltaic (PV) cells, an integral laptop battery charging during the day. When darkness falls, a light sensor turns on the light it receives its power from the battery. The only problem is solar powered lights is simply no place somewhere, to be placed so that they are in direct sunlight during the day.

# Step1

Think about where you want to search for lights as the gardens dark cornner. You have to be in the sun or the battery is charged instead of get. The placement of lights hanging low shrubs is not an option. You can draw your garden plan photo in your Dell inspiron E1505 laptop battery.

Step 2

As the lights usually have a duration of 8-10 hours during the summer (sun), but they are not nearly as long to run in the spring, autumn or winter.

Step # 3

Note that previous designs were solar powered light bulbs and batteries to load slowly, and there is greater amount of light used. Modern solar lights are built with light-emitting diodes (LEDs) as light source and easy to charge nickel-cadmium batteries to power the LED and charge your Dell inspiron 1501 battery.

Step 4

Determine the style of furniture you want. Solar lights are available in various designs, including patio lights (along a patio or walkway installed), hanging lamps (mounted on a wall or suspended on the cable) and distinctive, unusual decorative light (pagodas, statues), choose the right one in Amazon by your Latitude D820 battery.

Step 5

Decide on the surface you use for your lighting. Options include bright metals such as copper, stainless steel, matte black porcelain. Choose what you like that style fits with the design of your garden.

In the end choose the good quality solar panel lights for your garden. Generally you d better buy the 3-5 year warranty solar lights.

PAYERNE (Switzerland) (AFP) – experimental aircraft powered by solar energy Solar Panel Impulse flew Wednesday morning from Switzerland for a flight expected to last 25 hours non-stop day and night, the weather conditions remain favorable.

“So far, fingers crossed, everything is going extremely well. (…) On the mountains we have no clouds, the sky is completely clear,” said the Swiss explorer Bertrand Piccard, who conceived the project.

The intensity of the sun is such that the pilot and co-founder of the Andre Borschberg had to turn off the part of the device that recharges the lithium polymer 400 kg, said Mr. Piccard, who made the first round the-world balloon non-stop, there are more than ten years.

For clear skies, Solar Impulse lunged at 6:51 (4:51 GMT) at a speed of 35 km / h, the runway at the military base of Payerne, in western Switzerland.

“The conditions here are really wonderful, I feel great,” said Mr. Borschberg AFP by radio, while flying over the Jura mountains at an altitude of 3,300 meters.

“I dreamed of this moment for seven years of work necessary to develop this project. The whole team was waiting for this very special day and I can tell you that I take this opportunity,” he said.

As the only energy source, the device needed only 90 m off uses 12,000 photovoltaic cells covering its wings, which provide power four electric motors of an output of 10 hp each. They also help recharge the batteries of the aircraft.

“The goal is to fly without fuel. The goal is to show that we can be much less dependent on fossil energy than what we usually think, I have done the dream : flying over the Switzerland like playing flying game in my Dell inspiron 1420 battery” said Piccard.

Andre Borschberg, former fighter pilot, should remain between 25 and 27 hours in the air at an altitude of over 8,500 meters without an autopilot.

At midday, the aircraft had reached an altitude of 4075 meters.

The ground control team must decide before sunset if the pilot continued his journey by night. This decision will depend on the ability of sunlight to recharge the batteries of the aircraft during the day and the threat of strong winds aloft, the official said the flight control and former astronaut Claude Nicollier.

In case of problems, the plane, whose wings are the size of those of an Airbus A340 (63.40 meters) and weighing 1,600 pounds, will join her site off before 22:00 local time (2000 GMT) , the plane model was designed in my Dell inspiron 1545 battery says Piccard.

The flight is followed by the International Aeronautical Federation (IAF) which stores records in aviation.

A first attempt at takeoff was canceled last Thursday one hour before the scheduled departure due to a failure of an electronic component that has since been replaced.

Solar Impulse had succeeded on April 7 in Switzerland its first flight about half past one, the first step in a series of tests. The team of about 70 people perform other account to calibrate the machine and eventually build a second unit which will tour the world in five phases by 2013 or 2014 rather than 2012 as previously announced.

Norwegian Company Develops World’s Largest Wind Turbine

As fossil fuels continue to diminish and climate change poses an ever-increasing threat, scientists around the world are searching for new and more efficient methods of generating lenovo thinkpad x60 battery energy. Wind energy is one of the more promising alternative energy sources and Norwegian scientists are currently in the development stages of what promises to be the world’s largest wind turbine. As if creating the biggest wind turbine in the world was not enough, it also floats. Current plans for the world’s largest wind turbine have the machine standing 533 feet tall.

The proposed rotor diameter of this machine is 475 feet lenovo ideapad s10 battery. Obviously, these gargantuan dimensions make it difficult to imagine many places able to accommodate such a device. Fortunately, the floating design makes the turbine suitable for open ocean use.

In addition to being the world’s largest wind turbine, the proposed machine (which is to be built by the Norwegian company Sway), will also be the most powerful. A single floating turbine will be able to generate 10-megawatts to power more than 2,000 homes. These figures make this proposed new design at least three times more powerful than the existing wind turbines in use today.

The floating design gives this generator a huge advantage over other wind-power generators because the device can be placed in deeper water. The machine’s tower is a floating pole filled with ballast beneath the ocean’s surface. This gives the world’s largest wind turbine a low center of gravity, which prevents tipping. The generator is anchored to the sea floor with a single pipe and a suction anchor. This design allows the turbine to tilt 5-8 degrees as well as rotate freely to generate power from any wind direction.

Sway plans on installing the device in 2011. The prototype of this machine will cost an estimated $67.5 million dollars. Sway plans on testing the design on land first in Oeygarden, Southwestern Norway. If the design is successful, Sway will continue testing seafaring prototypes.

Currently, Norway is one of the world’s top oil and gas producers. Despite this fact, Norway generates most of its own power from hydroelectric plants. Norway’s dedication to designing and building the world’s largest wind turbine showcases the countries commitment to alternative energy IBM/Lenovo laptop battery, and serves to further illustrate how important this cause actually is. If the world’s largest wind turbine is a success, it will mark a major stride in humanity’s quest to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels.

Tenesol global provider of solar-owned giant TOTAL and EDF, has contributed to the creation of one of the French proposals at the International Solar Decathlon competition (SD) 2010. 20 universities around the world compete with the objective of designing and building an ecological house-sized, which runs entirely on solar energy. Throughout the contest, the house is inhabited. This helps to highlight the latest innovations in effective, attractive and affordable for the sustainable development of the future.

For over 26 years Tenesol imagines, designs, manufactures, installs and manages the systems of production and consumption of solar energy (consumption on isolated sites, general power grid directly connected, hot water sun) for its customers worldwide.

In addition to photovoltaic panels, Tenesol also provided all cables and an integrated control system that measures the amount of electricity produced by solar home. The company also made available to students a project manager who works alongside them and provides any assistance. The team was able ENSAG consolidate their knowledge of photovoltaic technology and learned to get the best possible results.

ARMADILLO BOX: THE BOX IDEAS

The design of the Armadillo Box came from the results of a European research project dedicated to passive houses in hot countries. It is based on a compact structure and aims to reduce the need for heating and cooling of the seasons. The building includes a number of new technologies for sustainable development. Its characteristics are as follows:

* 97 photovoltaic panels in total, spread over an area of 102 m2 with a capacity of 15 kWp, are integrated into the roof structure and shading. The system is connected to the network and supports all of the electricity needs of the house.
* A mechanical ventilation system Dual-stream runs through the whole frame of the home. A single pump is used for heating and cooling of the housing. This system also produces hot water, depending on sun exposure.
* The housing is completely isolated and all the kitchen equipment belong to the energy class A.
* The house is fully automated: all equipment and accessories (including curtains) are controlled by an automation system
* The building is made of natural materials and recyclable materials such as wood, recycled steel and earth.

The students have built two houses Armadillo Box for this project. One of them will be used for the contest DS 2010 and the other will be presented in the solar village of INES, the premises of the institute, Le Bourget du Lac. Thus, it would receive wider dissemination.

Solar Decathlon

SD is a biannual event organized since 2002 by the American Department of Energy in order to inform on solar energy, educating the public about this issue and encourage the use of such energy. For this 2010 edition of Solar Decathlon leaves for the first time the territory of the United States, since the event took place this year from June 10 to 19 in Madrid, Spain (read our article “).

The prototypes of houses must operate solely on solar energy, be connected to the network and use technology to lower energy consumption. Ten trials to assess the houses (hence the name “decathlon”). SD represents a key challenge for Tenesol. The company recently expanded its business from individuals. Now she sells solar solutions directly on the French market and is expanding distribution of its consumer products in Europe.

A simple points of failure can plague a solar home system with a central inverter.

Consider a centralized solar system as a string of Christmas lights are run in series. If one bulb goes out, the rest goes with it. Even a shadow of a group in a table, you can drag the energy crop of the entire network down. Enphase Energy has established the claim of being the first to produce a microinverter system available for commercial or residential. According to my friends in the solar industry, “[Enphase systems Microinverter] take the world by storm the sun.”

Microinverters reduce the volume, space and sound of traditional investors. A microinverter up under each panel photovoltaic panel converts DC to AC and links directly to the existing wiring and electrical panel in the house. This saves the cost of copper wire of high caliber, and the task of leading his garage (or other central location) of photovoltaics. With a few dollars per foot wire amounts to a lot of money in labor and materials. It may supply the uninterruptible power to the laptop battery.

According to the site Enphase microinverter energy that can improve the performance of photovoltaic panels by 5% -25%. The advantage of a UPS by the photovoltaic panel is the individual panels continuous production, although a group of the table is shaded or damaged. In the traditional table where all the panels are interconnected, the less effective the group takes the rest to their level.

Microinverters reduce the risk of total failure significantly by isolating the elements of the system. Enphase also argues that if a single investor is turned off, the repairs can wait until the routine maintenance is required, saving the owner of a large amount of hair at the end.

Critics say the unit is more likely that some of the equipment failure (next to the battery if you believe an application outside of the network). They argue that increasing the number of investors could lead to higher costs of maintenance of the owner of a house. To minimize premature failure if the product you are considering purchasing met testing highly accelerated life (HALT) and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) testing standards.

In a little over a week die of the state solar rebate program in Florida would end. 30th June is the date of execution, except for some last-minute miracle. Small solar companies already feel the pressure to drop fast projects and contractors of the ditch to the north, to states such as Georgia and South Carolina that have a better political environment for solar energy.

Mourning the death of the Florida Solar Rebates

Florida Solar Energy System Incentives Program was adopted in 2006. It provides a generous $ 4 per watt rebate for the solar home power of up to $ 20,000 for the photovoltaic (PV). This means that a 5,000 watts (5 kW), which costs about $ 40,000, would receive a healthy dose of subsidies for a refund of state and federal tax credit. The claims of the latter 30 percent of the original cost – about $ 12,000 in this example – and the state would pay out the maximum $ 20,000, which means that 80 percent would be subsidized by means of a 5-kW Solar. That may replace 100 pics laptop battery.

This is easier for contractors, sales in the Florida sun, made evidenced by the fact that the financing will not last for long the rebate program, even with the help of the Recovery Act of money. But the expiration of the Florida Solar rebates have very negative impact on businesses. Even small systems eligible for the rebate – 2 kW – get a bonus of $ 8,000 of the state, worth $ 15,000.

Certainly, these discounts are disproportionately high. It is because the agenda in 2006 and since then has been developed PV prices declined significantly. Entrepreneurs in Florida Solar understand, but by the complete abolition of the state solar rebates are disappointed and went to a party, a bar of credit to $ 2 per watt, with the decline in the price keep PV. Unfortunately one years, died of his revised budget for all states, including Florida and an invoice for a renewal discount prospective in committee in the legislature of the state.

Solar incentive programs still available:

It is a taxpayer funded 24,500,000 U.S. dollars in cash profit group to use the fund for energy saving initiatives.
Energy efficiency and conservation block grant, the municipalities apply for grants for solar energy and finance other initiatives efficiently.

Florida’s law also allows local PACE programs clean energy projects funded property tax increases due to the individual.
JEA (formerly Jacksonville Electric Authority) offers rebates for small houses with new energy-efficient and up to $ 800 for solar water heating.

But all that the loss of state subsidies that bring this period is likely to offset Florida’s solar industry to a standstill. In some states, utility companies charge the case, but the State tends to renewable portfolio standards requiring utility companies have to maintain a certain percentage of renewable energy. In Florida, JEA has only the program. Therefore, until an RPS or reduced further legislation passed, solar energy, with jobs and clean energy that comes with it, is waiting in the Sunshine State.

With escalating power bills and so much talk of renewable energy millions of people are thinking about solar power these days. Harnessing the sun’s energy makes sense because it is clean, green, and saves money in the long run as laptop Battery. But the reality is that the cost involved with installing panels and collectors is still out of reach for the vast majority of homeowners. Fortunately there are some cheap and easy ways to make the sun work for you.

Use Passive Solar

Passive solar means simply using or blocking the sun’s rays to heat or cool your home. This means that using your window coverings wisely can save you a ton on your power bills. Simply closing or angling your blinds to keep direct sunlight out can drop the interior temperature by 10 degrees. Try closing the window coverings on the south side of your house when you leave for the day during the summer months. Without the sun’s hot light shining in the windows, your air conditioner won’t have to work as hard. And in the winter of course doing the opposite can help heat your house. There tons of great looking blinds , awnings, and window films to help you harness or block the sun’s powerful rays.

Use Solar Exterior Lighting

Lighting the exterior of your home used to be tricky because you had to find a way to get power to the lights. But with the advancement in renewable power technology, these has gotten a lot easier. Solar garden lights, security lights for HP 530 Battery, and area lights now come completely integrated with panel, battery, electronic eye, and lights. Installation is usually as easy as hanging a picture and the prices start at less than $50. So whether you are trying to put some accent lights in your garden, shed some light in your tool shed, or trying to brighten those dark steps, lights powered by the sun are a great alternative.

Get Portable Chargers

These days we carry so many electronic devices around with us it kind of feels like we are a walking Radio Shack . The hardest part is figuring out how to keep these things charged. Now there are cool-looking portable solar chargers that will keep your iPod or blackberry running in a pinch. They are lightweight, folding, and very durable to handle the rigors of travel and outdoors situations. And if you are indoors and in need of a quick charge most of them will work by simply them putting near a window.

Decorate Home and Garden

For your outdoor spaces, solar fountains lend a soothing touch to any setting. All they require is a little water and a sunny spot and they can surround you with pleasant sounds or keep your pond aerated in Toshiba PA3399U-2BRS. Solar lamp post lights lend a nice touch to any entry area and tell your arriving guests you have good taste and care about the planet.

Get a Plug and Play Kit

If you need a small power source for your cottage in PA3465U-1BRS,, RV, or to take with you into the wilderness, there are great options out there. There are solar power kits that include the panel, the electronics, instructions, and all the wiring you need to get started. For example, a kit could power a little stereo, light, and charging your phone down at the boathouse or out in the barn. Or they can keep your RV battery charged as you travel around the country. You’ll need a screwdriver, the ability to follow instructions, and a sunny place for the panel. Many of the kits start at less than $100 and for $500 you can get a nice little system and expand it later.

If the EU wants to maintain European leadership in photovoltaics, EPIA urges the European Commission and Member States to implement urgently the implementation of the plan for the initiative of the European Solar Industry by introducing effective financial mechanisms, as well as increase significant public budgets for R & D. While the SET Plan is being discussed for more than three years, other governments in Asia and the United States continued its public support for R & D for their industries, which directly translates into more manufacturing costs low.

However, the R & D is not the only ingredient, increased production capacity is as important as R & D in order to achieve economies of scale and therefore public support (in the form of tariffs) is still needed to able to assume a stable growth market.

“R & D is not sufficient by itself and has no impact on competitiveness if not accompanied by an increase in volumes and market development. The 40% decline in prices that occurred last year and 50% of the last two years confirms that political support is still needed to achieve the economies of scale through increased production, “said Virgilio Navarro, Vice President EPIA and CEO of ATERSA.

The above measures should be accompanied by improved access to market regulation, strengthening the distribution network and an increase in transmission capacity.

EPIA and the European Photovoltaic Technology Platform congratulated the European Commission and Member States for the efforts undertaken to strengthen and coordinate all efforts at European level in the R & D, and encourages them to keep all existing support for market growth to enable photovoltaics to be competitive in the short term.

With over 200 active members representing the entire value chain, the Association of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA) is the largest industry association in the world dedicated to the market of solar photovoltaic electricity.

EPIA’s mission is to provide valuable and distinctive services, under the tight control of a single voice: the voice of the photovoltaic industry. The association aims to promote photovoltaics at the national, European and international, as well as assist its members in developing their businesses, both in the European Union and other foreign markets.

Photovoltaic Technology Platform is an initiative to mobilize all the actors sharing a long-term European vision for PV. The Platform is an independent and objective aimed to be the point of reference for the recognition of government representatives and policy makers. Platform’s mission is to develop a strategy and plan for education, research and technological development, innovation and market development of solar photovoltaics.

The European Photovoltaic Industry will invest around 740 million euros in R & D in order to achieve the competitiveness of all its segments.

The initiative of the European Solar Industry (SEII, its acronym in English) to be filed Thursday in Madrid at the European Conference on the SET Plan will contribute to reach 12% of the supply solar photovoltaic electricity demand by 2020 .

The Association of European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA), the industry association world’s largest photovoltaic, together with the European Photovoltaic Technology Platform, presented at the SET Plan Conference held on 3 and 4 June in Madrid under the under the Spanish Presidency of the EU, the initiative of the Solar Photovoltaic Industry.

The Implementation Plan 2010-2012 announced that during the next three years will be required to invest 1.2 billion euros in R & D to optimize production aimed at reducing costs and improving the interface between the grid and photovoltaic systems.

These are the first steps designed to achieve in this decade, competition in the selling prices of electricity for residential and commercial sectors and in areas with high irradiation and even competitive with conventional fossil fuels for industrial applications. The investment would reach exactly 1,235 million euros, of which nearly 60% will come from the private sector, while the remaining amount has to be balanced between the European Commission and EU Member States.

Since last year, EPIA and the European Photovoltaic Technology Platform have worked together with the European Commission and representatives of Member States in the initiative. As a result, sixteen Member States have expressed their commitment to supporting the Photovoltaic Solar Initiative of the European Industry has identified three common areas of high priority in the short term: advanced manufacturing processes for all photovoltaic technologies aimed at reducing costs and improve efficiency, development of building integrated photovoltaic products (BIPV) and applications to facilitate and reduce integration costs the same, and outdoor test concentrator photovoltaic technology. It was further agreed that in the long term, materials (including organic solar cells) and the development of intelligent modules for easy integration into the network will be the priority themes.
