Aldi sells 15-inch notebook with eight hours
The Medion Akoya S5612 comes with a low-power Intel CPU compaq evo n620c battery, 4GB of RAM and 500 GB hard drive. Its 16:9 screen dissolves with 1366 by 768 pixels. Including external DVD burner, it will cost 700 €.
Aldi offers from Thursday, 29 October, a slim 15-inch notebook which, thanks to the low-power Intel dual-core processor SU4100 (1.3 GHz, 800 MHz front side bus, 2 MB L2 cache) and a 9-cell battery up to eight hours to get along without power. The 39 times 25.5 times 3.5 inches wide and 2.35-pound Medion Akoya S5612 costs including an external slimline DVD burner € 699.
The notebook lenovo thinkpad t61 battery works with 4 GB of DDR2 RAM and a 500 GB hard drive. Its 15.6-inch display with LED backlight has a 16:9 resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. When AMD’s ATI graphics solution Mobility Radeon HD 4530 with 512 MB of dedicated GDDR2 memory is used.
To stand for 802.11b/g/n WLAN connectivity, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 2.1 are available. For the connection of peripheral devices with an SD card reader, three USB ports, one eSATA port, one S / PDIF connector as well as one VGA and HDMI output are available.
Other features include high-definition audio with two speakers, a 1.3-megapixel Webcam with microphone and a pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium. Aldi Nord sold the Medion Akoya S5612 in black and white. Aldi South, only the black version is available. The warranty is 36 months.
