GE Shines Brighter Light on SolarEdge, Joins US$23 Million Funding Round

NISKAYUNA, N.Y. & HERZLIYA, Israel–(BUSINESS WIRE)–SolarEdge, whose technology increases solar power (Olympus Camera battery) systems’ output by up to 25 percent, announced today that GE (NYSE: GE) unit GE Energy Financial Services has joined a US$23 million funding round to support growth in residential and large-scale photovoltaic sites. SolarEdge’s other investors are Battery 4 US venture capital leaders Opus Capital and Walden International, the Israeli funds Genesis Partners and Vertex Venture Capital, and the Singaporean fund JP Capital Asia.

The funding—GE Energy Laptop battery Financial Services’ first investment in Israel—was announced at GE Global Research, GE’s research and technology development center in Niskayuna, New York, during a media forum on clean tech venture capital investing for Discount laptop batteries.

“We will use this financing to further promote our solar power harvesting system, which can be embedded in practically all types of solar photovoltaic panels to maximize power generation while dramatically reducing costs Dell Inspiron e1505 Battery,” said Guy Sella, Chairman, CEO and Co-Founder of SolarEdge. “By partnering with GE, we benefit from the company’s proven R&D capabilities, energy technology expertise and deep commercial market reach.”

SolarEdge provides holistic photovoltaic power harvesting and monitoring technology to maximize the energy output and cost efficiency of solar Canon Camera battery PV units. The company works with industry-leading partners such as BP Solar and Schott Solar, Isofoton, HaWi Energitechnik, Gehrlicher solar and many others to embed its technology into photovoltaic panels to increase their power output by up to 25 percent and provide superior monitoring and control, without increasing costs. GE Global Research provided a technical, hands-on perspective to GE Energy Financial Services as it considered this investment.

“Our investment in SolarEdge reflects our confidence in the company’s ability to thrive in the growing global solar industry,” Alex Urquhart, President and CEO of GE Energy Financial Services, said at the GE venture capital media forum. “SolarEdge is a smart company of Dell inspiron 6400 battery, with smart technology that fits well with GE’ ecomagination program to help customers meet their environmental challenges. We view this investment as the beginning of a broader collaboration between GE and SolarEdge that could include joint product development and distribution.”

Fuel cell

Fuel cell

I. Technical Overview

Fuel Cell (Fuel Cell) working principle is very simple, chemical Shui through electrolysis to generate hydrogen and oxygen, fuel cells and vice versa, is the production of water by combining hydrogen and oxygen, releasing energy at the same time. Hydrogen fuel cells is the main material consumption, and some directly to bring hydrogen fuel cells, the use of aluminum high pressure cylinders. Methanol or gasoline also make useful materials Laptop battery, through re-engineering technology to generate hydrogen.

A variety of fuel cell so that the reaction of hydrogen and oxygen conditions and in different ways, including proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell with low temperature (70 ℃), suitable for use in electric vehicles and Latitude D620 battery. Proton exchange membrane coated with precious metal catalyst, can produce hydrogen and oxygen ions through the membrane into water, and generate electricity. In the electrochemical reaction in a Discount laptop battery voltage of only 1V generated, it should be composed of hundreds of pieces of the battery pack to generate electricity KW-class and as a driving force of motor vehicles.

Second, the status quo and development trend of domestic and foreign
The world’s industrialized countries have fuel cells Discount laptop batteries as an important strategic objective, dumping huge amounts of money for research, the United States, Canada, Germany, Japan, the cost of their study are hundreds of millions of dollars. At present, proton exchange membrane fuel cell bus trial in the vessels and, but the high prices is the fuel of vehicles 5 to 10 times.

By further reducing the cost to improve reliability, before and after 2003 a large number of applications in the car. Only those domestic colleges and universities, Now sony is have been researching for the fuel cells. scientific research units have just begun a pilot study, compared with foreign investment is very small, only in this strategic area of the level of follow-up study abroad.
